The ancient astronaut theory offers us the idea that humans were influenced by a race of aliens who visited Earth in the very distant past. While this is a rather controversial topic, especially among close-minded mainstream scientists, millions of people around the world are keen to believe in it.
This is why it is curious that Kazem Finjan, Iraq’s Transport Minister, stated in 2016 that the ancient Sumerians built the first airports 7,000 years ago and launched spacecraft to explore other planets, such as the mythical world referred to by alien hunters as Nibiru, also known as Planet X.
The ancient Mesopotamian civilization, now found in Iraq, is considered to be a cradle of civilization, but according to Finjan, it was also a cradle of space exploration.
The comment made by the Iraq minister came during a press conference in which the minister was set to answer questions about the Dhi Qar airport. During his speech, he told shocked reporters that the first airport in the world was built 7,000 years ago in Iraq by the ancient Sumerians.
According to Finjan, the Sumerians developed their space center on Earth with the assistance of visitors from other worlds with advanced technology. Samuel N. Kramer, a Russian professor, and expert on Sumeria was mentioned by Iraq’s minister of transport at the press conference. In addition, he claimed all of the angels came from Sumeria.
“The first airport that was established on planet Earth was here in Iraq 7,000 years ago,” Finjan told surprised reporters.
Probably not many people know this, the fact that it was the first airport built 5,000 years before Christ, Rinjan told reporters adding: “I invite those who doubt to read the book of the great Sumerian historian Zecharia Sitchin, or the books of Samuel Kramer including “History begins in Sumer”, which speaks of the first airport built on planet Earth.”
“The peculiarity of this place is that it is still the safest place for landing and taking off planes, due to the favorable weather conditions.”
“When the Sumerians settled on this land, they were aware of it and chose it specifically for their flights to other planets.”
One of the most shocking parts of Finjan’s explanation was when he claimed that ancient space travelers had discovered Nibiru, the planet whose gravity causes serious catastrophes due to its orbit approaching Earth from time to time.
In spite of the lack of questions from the audience, social networks filled up with messages supporting and criticizing Finjan’s remarks.
There were some who thought the minister was unqualified to hold such a significant position, but there were also those who praised his words as proof of the ancient astronaut theory.
